Savage Worlds wanted at Anomalycon

Savage Worlds wanted at Anomalycon

Postby RivetDRivet » Tue Jan 20, 2015 4:39 pm

Esteemed Savages,

I have been recently been granted the power to recruit people to run games in the game room at Anomalycon, the Steampunk and Alternate history convention happening March 27 - 29, 2015! I was hoping we could get some Deadlands: Twilight Legion games going, as well as anything else steampunky people might want to run.

If anyone is interested, please let me know. The process is pretty informal right now, so just basically let me know if you want to run a game and what dates/ times WOULD NOT be good for you (if any). Gm's will be offered a free pass for the day they are running their game, as well as an invite to my exclusive Secret Panel* on Saturday night of the con. If you already have a pass, I will offer you a painted miniature for the game you are running, and an invite to the Secret Panel. Just let me know what you're running, and I'll paint a miniature for you and have it ready for the con.

*Must be 21 to attend the Secret panel. Alcohol will be served (FOR FREEEE!), other shenanigans not for minors usually ensue.

Thank you all for reading this, and hopefully considering running a game.

I should be running something, since I wrote a Savage Steampunk Setting book and I'm on several panels at the convention. Once I know my schedule better I'll let you know when.

Cool, definitely let me know, and if you can, please shoot me the name of your panels so we don't get an overlap.

Unless the schedule changes, this is what I'm doing:

Game Design Writing
Worldbuilding, character design, modules for playing, quests, backgrounds, has it all been done before? How do you spin old stories to new heights?
P. Lell, Teh Ebil Bunneh
Fri 9pm

Game Campaign Design and Mastery
You've prepared this brilliant storyline and material, and not just out of a book. How do you keep your players engaged and exploring the quest you actually prepared for?
P. Lell, Teh Ebil Bunneh
Sat 1pm

Becoming the GM Your Players Wish You Were
Avoiding pitfalls, designing interesting content, and really letting go when the story gets out of control.

If anyone else wants in on this, I've now been authorized to offer a pass for the day you're running your game. For those who have already volunteered, thank you. Please give me a quick heads up on what you're running so I can try and get it into the program.

I'd like to run something, probably Space 1889: Red Sands, on Saturday. I'll come up with a blurb and time for you this evening.
